ABOUT ME!
Hi - I'm Meryl and I'm a thirty-something stay-at-home (SAHM) but
sometimes part-time working mom to an almost 6 year old daughter. I have been
married 13 years to a wonderfully supportive husband and 2 dogs complete
our family for the moment. . .
I created Chit Chat for Mommies in early 2008 as a way to bring moms
together. As moms, we are always searching for something - support,
encouragement, laughs, friends for us and friends for our kids, tips,
recipes, great buys, great bargains, job leads, business opportunities and
sometimes even validation that we are making the right decisions in our
daily life as moms.
From the instant that I started trying to get pregnant all the way through
my fertility treatments to my high risk pregnancy to my emergency
c-section to pumping for 4 months because my daughter wouldn't latch on to
starting my first playgroup to enrolling her in preschool to the
bittersweet start of Kindergarten this past year, I researched anything and
everything. I spent quite a bit of time reading books and articles and
searching the internet, but nothing was ever as meaningful and on target
as advice I got from other moms.
At whatever stage I have been at with my daughter thus far, there has been
nothing more valuable and reassuring then connecting with other moms
either going through the same stuff with me at the same time - or others
who have already been there and done that. I also feel wonderful when I
am able to add my own two cents in and help some other mom out as well.
My goal for this website is to create that environment for you. I want
you to not only search around this website, but to come and get your hands
dirty and play and get involved. Get connected to the other moms that are
coming here also - learn from them and share with them so they can learn
from you. There is no better group to belong to then the mommy group. We
are always chatting about lots of interesting things. . .
